Introduction:

My good friends from Norway took the long and arduous journey from the far fjords to play some good old games of Warhammer 40k at Nottingham, the heart of wargaming. We had previously met up in Nottingham to experience the annual BOYL event in 2023, and had planned to do so this year again. Unfortunately BOYL was cancelled, but we still had Warhammer related fun. First we played a game at Warhammer World. Not our first time visiting (we all had a look inside during our 2023 trip), but it was our first time gaming there. Afterwards we got two more games in, both at the Airbnb we rented. I had brought a bunch of tables, a mat, and my terrain with us - which was well received.

I've known these two for over ten years now, but this was my first time actually playing a game of 40k with them, so I was very excited! For them it was their first time playing an older edition of Warhammer, so it was a big learning experience. Also along for the ride were two other close friends, one from Finland and the other from Croatia. Overall everyone had a great time (and drank a little too much!) playing not just 40k, but also a lot of Soul Calibur III. We also did some sightseeing, such as eating out at Ye Olde Trip to Jerusalem, and visiting Sherwood Forest (where we were ambushed by two stark naked men!!!)
